Moalboal is located on the western shore of Cebu island in its southern part (Moalboal on the map). Cebu City and Mactan Cebu International Airport are 100 kilometers away . You can get here only by land by bus, taxi, or rented transport, there is no airport or port here. By plane, it is most convenient to get here through the airport of Mactan-Cebu. All buses arrive in Moalboal or pass through it on the main street in the center of the town, which is away from the tourist areas and beaches. Buses make several stops, it is best to get off in the very center next to the main market Moalboal Public Market (stop on map). From here to the beaches Panagsama Beach and White Beach (White Beach) 4 and 8 kilometers, respectively. You can get to them on a tricycle for 50/150 pesos, or on a habal-habal motorcycle taxi for 30/60. But refuse offers immediately when leaving the bus, the price will be inflated several times. It is better to move a little away from the stop, and catch a tricycle or motorcycle taxi there, do not pay more than 50 and 150 pesos for a trip on a tricycle, this is the real price for tourists in 2023.
Most often, tourists get to Moalboal on one of two routes: from . Cebu (here is the nearest international airport) or Dumaguete on Negros Island. To get from any other places will have to transfer:
- To get to Moalboal from other cities in the north of Cebu and from the island of Bohol, you need to transfer by bus to Cebu at the southern bus station.
- to get from cities in the south of the island, including from Oslob, and from Siquijor Islands, you need to transfer to Bato.

From Cebu and Mactan Island
This is the most popular route, because it is in Cebu and Mactan is home to the main international airport of Mactan-Cebu, and the country's largest seaport. A taxi ride from them will cost from 1800 pesos (29.18 see Philippine currency and Exchange Rate), but the price depends on your ability to bargain. City taxis do not agree to go to Moalboal on the meter, Grab and JoyRide applications do not work for such distances, so you need to negotiate a fixed cost and bargain.

Cebu South Bus terminal
Large air-conditioned buses (Ceres Bus) and non-air-conditioned minibuses (ordinary bus, cheaper) depart from here. There are many carrier companies, you can choose any, but the most popular is Ceres Bus Liner. Ceres Bus goes through Moalboal, you need a flight to Bato via Barili Cebu-Bato via Barili. Make no mistake, there is another flight to Bato not via Moalboal.
Ceres Bus departs as scheduled 6:00, 7:00, 9:00, 10:00, 11:30 , 13:00, 14:00, 16:00, 18:00, 23:00, but it can change. The rest do not go on schedule, but on filling very often, usually in the middle of the day every 20-30 minutes from 5 am to about 20 pm, and less often at night. So you can just come to the bus station at any time of the day, and take any next bus. Numerous helpers and touts will help you find the one you need.
This bus station is located in the south of the city (bus station on the map). You can get here from the airport by direct bus Sugbo Tours buses for 50 pesos, depart approximately every hour from 05:00 to 21:00, The Journey is almost two hours due to traffic jams. In order not to wait for Sugbo Tours buses, you can take the MyBus city bus to the SM City Cebu shopping center (50 pesos, depart from the airport every 20 minutes from 07:00 to 22:00), and from SM City Cebu (SM City Cebu on the map) transfer to jeepney 01K for 8 pesos.

South GT Express Terminal bus station
V-hire minibuses depart from here, which are mainly used by local residents. In fact, the directions of the southern bus station are duplicated here, only they go more often (but without a schedule, according to occupancy), are cheaper, and less comfortable, since only minibuses. Located in the southern part of the city near the southern bus station (bus station on the map). But it is better to check in advance with local residents about the work and location of this bus station, since it can stop working at any time, or it will be postponed.
From Dumaguete
Another popular route connects Moalboa with Dumaguete resort on Negros Island. It is not straight, you will have to change from bus to ferry and again to bus. You can complete the entire route in 3 hours.
From Dumaguete you need to get on a tricycle (100 pesos) or jeepney (7 pesos) to Sibulan Port Terminal. From here, during the day, ferries depart every hour to the Liloan pier on Cebu island, a journey of 20 minutes, the cost of 85 pesos. Then from here you need to get on a tricycle for about 50 pesos to the bus station in the town of Bato (Bato, San Sebastian), from where every 30 minutes there is a bus to Moalboal (direct or passing in Cebu), 1.5 hours on the way, 102 pesos.
There are also ferries from Sibulan Port Terminal directly to the marina in Bato, but these run less frequently. Bato bus station is within walking distance from the marina in Bato.
