Bogatyr caves - two caves on the slopes at the foot of Mount Lysaya a dozen kilometers from Goryachy Klyuch. These are the most easily accessible caves that you can visit while relaxing in Goryachy Klyuch, but do not expect anything special from them. This is the case when the path to the attraction is more interesting than the attraction itself. The fact is that the caves are small, rather even grottoes, and in them you will not see any unusual cave formations like stalactites or stalagmites. All the walls and ceiling are smooth, and scribbled with visitors. There is no exact data on the formation of caves, but more often they are inclined to their man-made appearance.
There is a legend that they were created by large six-meter heroes who lived in these places, from which they got their name. Another legend says that the caves were arranged by criminals hiding in them, condemned to death.

🚶 How to get there
Bogatyr caves are located about 10 kilometers along the road from Goryachy Klyuch near the Railway Station "Valley Of Charm" and on the way to the villages of Bezymyannoye and Fanagoriyskoye (Bogatyr caves on the map. It is best to get there by car, but you can take the train or even walk the entire route. A normal safe path leads to them, but to get directly into the caves themselves, you have to climb a steep slope, grabbing tree roots and branches, so be careful:

By car you can drive almost to the caves. To do this, you need to go along the asphalt road to the villages of Bezymyannoye and Fanagoriyskoye to the lapel on the path to the caves to the left. There is no sign there, but this lapel is easy to find: it is located on the road approximately opposite the railway station "Valley Of Charm" and near the SNT "Lazurnoe coast", and the trail itself is marked on all maps. There are usually always cars on the side of the road, you can leave your transport like that. Next, you need to walk a little more than 600 meters or 10-15 minutes along a marked wide path. The caves are on top of a rocky cliff, so look carefully so as not to miss them.

By train. You need to get to the station "Valley Of Charm" on any train on the Route Goryachy Klyuch-Tuapse. Then from the station you need to walk knee-deep in water to cross the Psekups River in a shallow place opposite the Lazurnoe Coast SNT, and through the SNT go to the road and path to the caves.

On foot. There is a completely hiking route from the tourist area of Goryachy Klyuch with a length of more than 8 kilometers, it passes by The Devil's mouth waterfall. It is necessary to pass it strictly with people who know the area or if you have experience it is good to navigate the terrain and the Navigator or offline maps Organic Maps etc. on the smartphone.
In addition to the short route from the side of the asphalt road, there is also a ring route to the caves through Mount Lysaya.
