Beach overview, prices and services

In Arkhipo-Osipovka there are excellent pebble beaches, there is no sand on the shore at all. The water here is clean, but its transparency depends on the weather. If the water on the main beach does not suit you, then you can always walk or drive to the wild beaches or the Norilsk Nickel hotel, where it is noticeably more transparent.

There are no paid beaches here, Access is not limited anywhere. You will have to pay only for the rent of sheds and sun loungers and for entertainment, but this is optional. Sometimes in the reviews you can read that the beach "Norilsk Nickel" is paid, but this is not entirely true: the beach is free, just parking near it is paid. Most of the tourists quietly rest for free on the mattresses or special bedding brought with them, which are easy to buy here. Here are the prices for some services and entertainment:

• Rent a chaise longue-200 rubles / day.

• Banana riding-300 rubles.
• Riding on the "tablet" - 400 rubles.
• Jet ski-1500 rubles/10 min.

• Central Beach

  The central beach of Arkhipo-Osipovka stretches for about 800 meters in the central part of the village and is the main recreation area of the resort (beach on the map). Sometimes you can find references to its division into sections belonging to the volcano sanatorium, the therapeutic beach of the Arkhipo-Osipovka Sanatorium and others, but in fact this is one public beach, and the description of each of these sections makes no practical sense.

  So, this is a pebble equipped beach with a length of about 800 meters. Along it there is a promenade with a lot of entertainment, cafes, canteens, pavilions selling draft beer and soft drinks. Attractions and amusement parks are just a step away. On the beach itself, too, a lot of entertainment ranging from banana riding and ending with boat trips on boats and medium boats. On the shore there are canopies, sun beds for rent (200 USD), toilets (25 USD), changing rooms and showers (free of charge).

  The beach of Arkhipo-Osipovka is certainly good. You can even say it is one of the best pebble beaches in this part of the Krasnodar Territory. But it is impossible not to mention its disadvantages. First of all, it is very crowded. Sometimes at the height of the season (in July and August) you need to take a place early in the morning, otherwise you will have to huddle somewhere on the edge. Another relative disadvantage (although for some it is even a plus) is the greater depth for children. And, of course, the transparency of the water here leaves much to be desired.

  

  

  

• Norilsk Nickel beach or "Prokhorovsky"

  This is an artificial Pebble Beach on the outskirts of the resort (beach on map). There are no hotels and infrastructure nearby, i.e. this place is suitable only for daytime rest. It is well equipped: there are sun loungers and awnings, a tent with massage, drinks and fast food are sold. The bottom abruptly goes under the water and the depth is great, which is not very suitable for bathing children. But the water is more transparent than on the main beach, and there are usually fewer people.

  Getting here is best by car. The car can be parked for free on the road at the top and go down the Serpentine concrete (5 minutes on foot), or go down, but then you have to pay 50 rubles for an hour of parking, or 300 rubles for the whole day. On foot you can walk through the beach behind Vulan (about it below), but you have to cross the Vulan River by boat for 10 rubles, and then back again. Well, if you need to save money, you can walk three kilometers around the river through a pedestrian bridge.

  

  

  

• Beach behind Vulan or friendship

  From the East (right) just beyond the mouth of the Vulan River is an undeveloped Pebble Beach (beach on map). You can get here from the center on foot via a suspension bridge, but you have to go around almost two and a half kilometers. In order not to bypass, you can use the services of boatmen who ferry across the mouth of the river for 10 rubles per person. There to swim, by the way, only 10-15 meters or less than a minute, and some tourists overcome this distance in the water without a boat.

  This beach is very wide, almost 50 meters, and about 200 meters long. It is forbidden to swim here, so there are always few people here, and this is a favorite place for vacationers who prefer to sunbathe in silence and solitude. However, do not think that this is a secluded place, and no one here will bother you. The fact is that tourists constantly go through this beach from the central beach to Norilsk Nickel.

  There are no sun loungers, canopies, umbrellas and other infrastructure here. Nearby there are two cafes Mayak and Bosphorus, which serve mainly guests of recreation centers in the neighborhood.

  

  

  

• Wild beaches

  On both sides of Arkhipo-Osipovka, wild rocky beaches stretch along the coast for several kilometers. To call them Pebble language does not turn, because on the shore instead of pebbles huge boulders and small sharp stones, and they also have to go into the water. There is also garbage and an unpleasant smell of rotting algae. But they are a favorite of those who want to sunbathe in secluded places, and if you prefer to do it in revealing swimsuits or without them at all.

  Wild beaches can be divided into East (left) and West (right). The left one starts immediately at the left end of the Central Beach (beach on map). The right one stretches along the shore after Norilsk Nickel (beach on the map). Both run along steep cliffs, and to get to the shore you'll either have to go down a steep incline or take a path along the shore.

Hotels and accommodation in Arkhipo-Osipovka and where to stay

In Arkhipo-Osipovka there is a large selection of accommodation options, there are serviced hotels and budget private houses or rooms with minimal amenities. If you need to save money, it is best to book private housing, which today is easy to do through the world's search and booking systems for hotels or through specialized sites. Moreover, prices when booking in advance are lower than if you search on the spot.

If you need to stay on a budget, you can stay in one of the car camps or set up your camp with a tent. Accommodation in equipped campsites (with water and electricity) will cost about 400 rubles for an adult and 300 for a child, so you can save money only if you travel alone, and it's cheaper to rent a house as a family. Several campsites and more or less convenient places to stop with a tent are located along the right wild beach (See above). Just keep in mind that along the coast there is a high cliff, and accommodation is possible only at the top, and you will have to go down to the beach. The wild beach itself, by the way, is very rocky.

As for the location of the hotel or housing, everything is simple: the closer to the beach, the more convenient, and the higher the price. In general, you can reach the Central Beach on foot from anywhere in the resort, but if possible, we still do not recommend staying in the residential area on the other side of Lenin Street, it is also the M4 highway or the Don highway, or across the Vulan River.
