The small museum "Nature of the Caspian Sea" in the historical part of Derbent will be interesting for those who want to take a little break from the ancient monuments of architecture. The exposition of the museum is represented by stuffed animals and birds inhabiting the Republic of Dagestan, and is divided into 4 thematic halls from marine representatives of the Caspian Sea to animals and birds living in steppe and forest zones.
The museum is located in a one–story annex to a residential building and has a nondescript signboard, there are shops next to it on both sides, and therefore it is sometimes not possible to find the entrance to it the first time.

From 09:00 to 18:00, seven days a week.
💵 Entrance fee / ticket price
Adults – 150 rubles, children from 7 to 16 years – 100 rubles, children under 7 years – free of charge, excursions from 150 rubles / person. The Pushkin card is valid. For children under the age of 18 – free admission on the first and last Sunday of the month, for students – the first Thursday of the month. For all categories, free admission is on May 18 (International Museum Day), June 1 (International Children's Day), September 15 (Day of Unity of the Peoples of Dagestan).
