A new location appeared near the northern fortress wall in Derbent in 2021 – the Crystal Bridge or the Glass Bridge. This is a modern pedestrian transparent bridge, climbing which below under the glass dome you can see the excavations of an ancient water pipeline. Nearby there are stone slabs with Arabic inscriptions, the meaning of which can be found from the nearby scoreboard.
The bridge is located on the well-maintained K. Mammadbekov Street, which is part of a pedestrian tourist route through the historical part of Derbent. Benches and pavilions are installed all along the street.
The walk will be especially chic in the evening, when the bridge and the entire Mamadbekov Street are colorfully illuminated and the street comes to life. The walk will undoubtedly appeal to everyone.
Crystal Bridge is located next to the park. Nizami Ganjavi and its Light and Music fountain, so visiting all three attractions will be a great evening pastime.
