These are wild and unsettled hot springs, which are a stream of hydrogen sulfide hot water coming straight out of the ground into a field in distant surroundings El Nido on Palawan. The spring is completely unsuitable for bathing, but if you really want to, you can do it. However, keep in mind that the water in it is very hot, almost boiling water, and it is better to swim as far as possible from the source. To do this, go along the stream from the source downstream almost to the hut of local farmers, and there you can immerse yourself in the water completely.
Getting to and finding these hot springs is not easy: there are no signs, and they are located on a private farm. When we visited them, there were no issues with the fact that we were passing/passing through the field, but keep in mind that you may be asked for a "tip" for admission or "guide escort". To get to the source of the spring, you will have to walk through the mud, for which it is best to take rubber shoes with you, for example, flip-flops.

🚶 How to get there
The Makinit hot spring is located 18 kilometers from El Nido, accessible only by rented transport (source of Makinit on the map). Good asphalt leads almost to the source. When you get to the sources on the asphalt, there will be two options for how to get directly to them through the field:
- You leave the transport on the road opposite the point that is marked on the map, and go through the field to the little forest a little more than 100 meters. The source of the source is located in this forest, you can find it by the exact coordinates or even by the smell of hydrogen sulfide.
- You reach the turning point (turn to sources on on the map), there will be an exit to a narrow path along a strip of forest. You can ride this trail on a motorbike or walk to the end until you hit a low barbed wire fence. You can step over the fence, and you will find yourself right at the stream, where you can swim, and if you go further along it, you will get to the source.
