MDAC (Malaysia Digital Arrival Card) is a mandatory electronic immigration card for entry into Malaysia. It must be filled out online free of charge 3 days before the trip. This requirement applies to all tourists, including citizens of visa-free countries such as Russia.
How to fill out MDAC:
- Go to the official website of the Malaysian immigration service: imigresen-online.imi.gov.my.
- Register by providing an email and creating a password.
- Fill out the form by entering:
- Passport details (must be valid for at least 6 months).
- Personal data (full name, date of birth).
- Trip details: dates, hotel address or place of stay in Malaysia.
- Return ticket information.
- After submission, a confirmation (Submission Slip) will be sent to your email.
What is important:
- It must be filled out for each traveler, including children.
- Print the confirmation or save a screenshot on your phone. It may be requested when boarding a ferry or plane and at passport control.
- Without a completed MDAC, you will likely not be allowed to board the vehicle to Malaysia.
This is not a visa, but a digital replacement for the paper immigration card that was previously filled out on the plane.
