What is the SkyBridge in Langkawi and how to get there?

SkyBridge (Heavenly Bridge) in Langkawi is a unique suspension pedestrian bridge 125 meters long, hovering at an altitude of about 700 meters above the jungle on the peak of Mount Machinchang. It is the main 'highlight' of the entire cable car complex and one of the most impressive engineering structures of its kind in the world.

How to get to SkyBridge:

1. Reach the upper station of the cable car (SkyCab). This is the mandatory first step. You ascend by cable car first to the middle and then to the upper station.
2. From the upper station to the bridge, you need to descend. Here you have two options:
   • On foot via stairs (NatureWalk): This is free if you have a ticket to the bridge. The descent takes 5-10 minutes, but it is 170 meters down with an altitude drop of about 40 meters (like 13 floors). The stairs are narrow, and it can be crowded during peak hours.
   • By funicular (SkyGlade): This is a paid service (16 ringgit for adults) if it is not included in your combined ticket. During peak times, there may be queues of 20-30 minutes in front of the funicular.

Important warning: Visiting SkyBridge is NOT included in the cost of the cheapest cable car ticket (for 85 ringgit). To get to the bridge, you need to either initially purchase a combined ticket "SkyCab + SkyBridge" (we recommend), or at the upper station, buy a ticket for walking access (NatureWalk) or for the funicular (SkyGlade).

Walking on the bridge is not time-limited, and the views from it of the jungle and surrounding mountains are simply fantastic. It is a must-visit item on the program in Langkawi.
