Island Hopping in Langkawi is a classic and most popular group sea tour, which involves "island hopping" on a speedboat. It is an ideal way to see several key attractions of the archipelago in one day.

The standard Island Hopping tour program includes three main stops:

  1. Lake of the Pregnant Maiden (Dayang Bunting Lake): Disembarkation on Dayang Island for 1-1.5 hours. During this time, you walk from the pier to the freshwater lake, where you can swim, get a fish foot massage, rent a catamaran, or simply walk along the trails.
  2. Beras Basah Beach with monkeys: Stop at a beautiful white-sand beach on another island. Here you can swim in the sea, sunbathe, and observe wild macaques that often approach tourists. Be careful with your belongings!
  3. Feeding eagles near Singa Besar Island: The boat slows down near rocky shores, and the captain throws pieces of chicken into the water. Dozens of majestic red-brown sea eagles flock to this treat, which you can photograph in flight.

The tour lasts approximately 4-5 hours. Often, the cost (from 45 ringgit) includes transfer from hotels in tourist areas like Pantai Cenang or Kuah to the pier and back.

Important point: The entrance ticket to the island with the lake (6 ringgit) is usually NOT included in the tour price and is paid separately on-site. Always clarify this nuance when purchasing.

This is an excellent and inexpensive way to actively spend a day, especially for a first acquaintance with Langkawi. You can book the tour online on Trip.com (accepts Russian cards) or at any street agency.
