Which beach on Koh Lipe is best for snorkeling?

It is best to snorkel directly from the shore at Sunrise Beach, as well as at the rocky islets opposite it, which can be reached by kayak.

Sunrise Beach is famous for its clean, clear water and the presence of small reefs near the shore. Here, you can simply put on a mask and snorkel and swim among colorful tropical fish without swimming far. This is especially convenient for beginners or families with children.

For more interesting and rich snorkeling, it is worth heading to the islets visible from Sunrise Beach (for example, Koh Kra). There, the underwater world is much richer: you can see corals (although they have been damaged in some places), more species of fish, and other marine life. Renting a kayak to paddle to them is a great idea for half a day.

Also, excellent snorkeling awaits you on the wild beaches of the southwest (Pantai Galah and others) and, of course, during organized boat tours to the neighboring islands of Tarutao National Park, such as Adang and Rawi Islands. On tours, you will be taken to specially designated, most picturesque spots.
