Answer (changed )

No, Russian cards, including UnionPay, do not work for payment in all types of city metro in Kuala Lumpur. Currently, tickets can only be purchased at automatic ticket terminals using foreign Visa and Mastercard cards, local Touch 'n Go transport cards, and via QR codes from payment apps. There are no ticket sales at counters; they only top up or sell Touch 'n Go transport cards. However, the elevated metro can still be paid for with cash.
