Yes, you can buy tickets on the spot at the bus station, and moreover, tickets are not even sold in advance. Buses from KL to the airport depart from the following stations:

• KL Sentral (most often) — we recommend using this terminal, as it is the easiest place to buy a ticket at one of the bus operators' counters. These counters and the departure point are located on the very bottom floor of the KL Sentral terminal (there are no signs, you will have to search and ask locals). There are several ticket kiosks there, and buses also depart from here, often during the daytime. Tickets are not sold in advance at the counters, only on the spot.
• TBS (Terminal Bersepadu Selatan) — you can also buy and leave immediately on the spot, but TBS is further to reach from the center.
• Pudu Raya (old station in the city center) — this is the most convenient place for departure, but it is almost dead. In 2026, we were there and found all the counters closed. Tickets are sold only online on the carriers' websites or at the departure platform from the driver. But if you need to arrive at the airport at a specific time, this is risky, as buses depart from here less frequently, and there is a chance of not getting on the first nearest flight.
