Where to exchange currency in Kuala Lumpur at a favorable rate?

It is not worth exchanging currency at Kuala Lumpur Airport (KLIA) β the rate there is the worst. It is better to withdraw some cash from a CIMB Bank or Maybank ATM (they do not charge a withdrawal fee) or exchange a minimal amount for the first time.
The best exchange rate in the city and throughout Malaysia is at the Mid Valley Megamall shopping center (Ground Level). They even exchange rubles, and the difference between the buying and selling rates for dollars and euros is minimal.
If you need to exchange money in the center, the best option is the Little India area on Jalan Masjid India Street. There is a whole row of exchange offices where the rate is significantly better than in tourist areas. Do not forget to bring your passport β without it, they may refuse to exchange.
