In Hoi An, there are two main beaches: An Bang and Cua Dai. They stretch along the coast 4-6 km from the historical center. The best beach for a first visit and comfortable relaxation is An Bang. For seclusion and quiet, Cua Dai is more suitable.

Both beaches have white sand and a gentle slope into the South China Sea, but their atmosphere and infrastructure are different.

An Bang Beach is long and spacious

☀ An Bang Beach

  • Distance from the center: ~4 km.
  • Atmosphere: The most popular and lively. Many sun loungers, umbrellas, beach bars, and seafood restaurants.
  • Pros: All infrastructure is at hand. You can rent a sun lounger (from 50,000 dong) or use it for free by ordering food at a cafe. There are activities (banana boat, jet skis).
  • Cons: Paid parking for motorbikes (20,000 dong), crowded in the central part.
Cua Dai Beach today

☀ Cua Dai Beach

  • Distance from the center: ~6 km.
  • Atmosphere: Significantly calmer and less developed. Lots of free space.
  • Pros: Quiet and seclusion. Free parking in open areas. Almost empty stretches of shore.
  • Cons: Almost no infrastructure (no sun loungers, cafes, toilets in open areas). Difficult navigation: the shore is sometimes blocked by hotel territories.

Conclusion: For convenience, service, and a fun atmosphere, choose An Bang. For romantic seclusion and a 'wild' style of relaxation — explore Cua Dai.
