There are several night markets on Phu Quoc, each with its own atmosphere. The choice depends on what you are looking for: authentic street food, a walk in a modern area, or shopping.
1. Night Market in Duong Dong (Phu Quoc Night Market / Bach Dang Night Market)
Best for authentic food and atmosphere. The oldest and most famous market in the island's capital. Here you will find a huge selection of the freshest seafood cooked right in front of you, traditional Vietnamese fast food, souvenirs, and clothing. Both tourists and locals come here. Open from ~4:00 PM to midnight. Free entry.
2. Sonasea Night Market
Best for family walks and entertainment. Located in the new tourist area of Sonasea. This is more of a pedestrian zone with shops, cafes, and evening stalls. Cleaner and more spacious than the market in Duong Dong. Suitable if you want to take a leisurely walk, eat, and buy souvenirs. Open from ~6:00 PM.
3. Vui-Fest Bazaar Night Market in Sunset Town
Best for modern photos and walks in the new area. Located on the waterfront of the upscale Sunset Town. An ideal place for an evening walk after visiting the Kissing Bridge or the "Kiss of the Sea" show. Prices are not inflated, the atmosphere is pleasant. Open from ~5:00 PM.
Tip: If you are visiting Phu Quoc for the first time and want real impressions β head to the night market in Duong Dong. Be sure to bargain when buying souvenirs and try the seafood. For motorbike parking near the market, there is a paid parking lot (~10,000 dong), but you can leave it for free at the Cao Dai Temple and walk 5 minutes.
