How many terminals are there at Ho Chi Minh City Airport and how to transfer between them?

Ho Chi Minh City Airport (Tan Son Nhat) currently has three passenger terminals: international and two domestic. This is important to know, especially if you have a connection.

• T2 — International Terminal. All flights from abroad arrive and depart here.
• T1 — Old Domestic Terminal.
• T3 — New Domestic Terminal (opened in 2025). Flights from Vietnam Airlines and VietJet Air have been moved here, but always check your terminal before your trip!

How to transfer between terminals:

1. Between T2 (international) and T1 (old domestic): The distance is only about 400 meters. After exiting the T2 building, turn right and follow the pedestrian path with signs. The walk will take 5-7 minutes.
2. Between T2/T1 and the new T3: Terminal T3 is located 3 km from the old terminals. A free shuttle bus operates between them.
   • Shuttle schedule: from 04:30 to 00:10.
   • Interval: every 20 minutes.
   • Travel time: about 15-20 minutes.
   Outside these hours, you can only get there by taxi (better through apps like Grab, Maxim).
