The Landmark district in Ho Chi Minh City is a modern elite quarter around Vietnam's tallest skyscraper, Landmark 81. It is radically different from the noisy and colorful center: here it is clean, spacious, with lots of greenery and modern buildings.

Is it worth staying there as a tourist? It depends on your goals:

  • Suitable if you want quiet, order, and a "civilized" vacation. There is an excellent Vinhomes park and a promenade for walks, a large Vincom shopping mall with an ice rink, cinema, and food courts. You can get to the center by metro.
  • Not suitable if you are coming for the atmosphere and nightlife of Vietnam. The district is too "sterile" and expensive compared to the tourist center. You will be far from the main attractions and party streets.
