TrainsAttention! The information in the article below applies only to citizens of the Russian Federation and concerns departure from the Russian Federation. The legislation of other countries and the practice of leaving the country may differ from the Russian one.
The most common reason why you may not be released abroad from the Russian Federation on vacation, travel or business trip is the presence of unpaid debts (for other reasons, see the article "Why can not release abroad"). These can be debts for unpaid fines, loan debts, non-payment of alimony, taxes and much more. But do not worry that you will not be released if there is an unpaid fine of several thousand. The amount of debt is regulated by law (federal law "on enforcement proceedings" of 02.10.2007 N 229-FZ), and from October 1, 2017 the limit is set at the following amount:
- If there is a debt on alimony, compensation for damage to health, compensation for damage in connection with the death of the breadwinner, as well as recovery of property damage and moral damage as a result of a crime – at least 10,000 rubles.
- For other debts – at least 30,000 rubles.
This means, for example, that only if you have a debt on a loan or several loans, debt to other persons, taxes, etc.more than 30,000 rubles – you may not be released. And if the amount of debts is less than 30,000, and there are no debts on the first item, then there should be no problems when traveling abroad from the Russian Federation.
