Is it possible to pay off debts at the border

Unfortunately, to pay off debts and lift the ban on traveling abroad, if it suddenly turns up already at the airport or at the land border crossing, immediately on the spot will not work. The mechanism for setting and lifting the ban is still too complicated and bureaucratic, and even despite the presence of special terminals at airports to repay debts and the ability to pay fines online through the public services portal, it will not be possible to lift the ban at the border.

The restriction on leaving the Russian Federation is imposed by the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP), it also removes it. And this is not done automatically, but by a person, an inspector of the department, who makes a decision to withdraw only after studying the supporting documents on the payment of fines and other debts. After that, he decides to lift the ban, draws it up on paper and enters the information into the computer, only after which this information is sent to the border service, the one that checks debts at the border. And although today information between departments is transmitted almost instantly, the decision is still made by a person. This is done during working hours and in the order of receipt of information, and, according to the law, this procedure is given up to 14 days.

How to protect yourself from such trouble? Of course, you need to pay all fines, taxes, loans, utilities, alimony, etc. on time. Any citizen has a lot of payments today, and it is not surprising to miss something. Therefore, in advance of the trip, it is best to check yourself for debts and possible prohibitions.
