The best snorkeling in Sharm el-Sheikh in 2026 is, without a doubt, Ras Mohamed National Park and boat trips to the islands. There you will find the richest and most beautiful underwater flora and fauna that can be seen in the Red Sea. However, if you don't want to travel far or pay for an excursion, there are excellent spots right at the resort.

Here is a list of the best snorkeling locations, both paid and free:

  • Ras Mohamed National Park: This is the top-1 spot. The coral reefs here are simply fantastic, the water is crystal clear, and there is an enormous number of fish. You can only get there by taxi or as part of an excursion.
  • Ras Um El-Sid Bay: A paid beach in the El Fanar area. There are pontoons for entering the water, which helps preserve the corals. The underwater world is very rich and diverse.
  • Nabq Bay: Another great option with pontoons and a rich underwater world. Many hotels in this area have their own good reefs.
  • Free Alex Beach / Military Beach: Located at the exit of Sharm el-Maya Bay. It is a wild beach but with good access to corals. An excellent option for budget snorkeling.

If you are staying at a hotel, first check its own beach. Often there are rocky areas with corals and fish right by the shore. If the beach is sandy and boring, feel free to go to one of the listed places.

We recommend reading a detailed guide to the best snorkeling spots in our article Snorkeling in Sharm el-Sheikh.
