Does WhatsApp work in Sharm El-Sheikh in 2026?

In Sharm El-Sheikh, WhatsApp is in perfect order – the messenger works just as well as at home. We regularly use it during trips to this resort. Messages are delivered instantly, calls are clear, photos and videos upload without issues. WhatsApp is not blocked in Egypt. But for communication with Russia, you need to account for local realities: in Russia, WhatsApp works with interruptions due to blocks and slowdowns. Don't be surprised if relatives don't respond immediately or complain about poor connection quality – these are problems on their side. For guaranteed communication with them, it's better to use Max, as only this messenger is currently not blocked in Russia.
