Is Telegram working in Sharm El-Sheikh now in 2026?

In Sharm El-Sheikh, Telegram works without any issues – this is confirmed by our numerous trips. The messenger opens, messages are sent, channels and chats load normally. We have not noticed any local blocks or restrictions from authorities or providers. However, it is worth considering that in Russia Telegram is currently blocked and works intermittently. Therefore, if you plan to call home, it is better to check in advance if they have access to Telegram or agree on alternative communication methods, for example through Max – the only messenger that is currently not blocked in the Russian Federation.
