Koh Lipe is located in the southernmost part of Thailand, in the Andaman Sea, near the border with Malaysia (Koh Lipe on the map of Thailand). It is the southernmost inhabited island of Thailand.

Exact location:

  • Country: Thailand.
  • Province: Satun.
  • Archipelago: Part of Tarutao National Marine Park.
  • Coordinates: approximately 6Β°29' north latitude, 99Β°18' east longitude.
  • Distance to the mainland: About 60 km from the coast of Satun province.
  • Nearest major Malaysian island: Langkawi β€” about 30 km to the south. On a clear day, it can even be seen from Koh Lipe.
Koh Lipe is located in one of the most beautiful corners of the Andaman Sea

The island is quite small, you can walk from end to end in about 40-50 minutes. Despite its remoteness, the infrastructure here is well developed for tourists.
