Answer (changed )

You can only get to Ko Lipe by water, as there is no airport on the island. The cost of transfer depends on the departure point and is a significant expense.

Main routes and prices for ferries/transfers in 2026:

  • From Pakbara Pier (mainland): 550–700 baht one way.
  • Ready transfer from Phuket (bus + ferry): from 1750 baht round trip.
  • From Lanta Island: from 1750 baht.
  • From Phi Phi Island: from 1950 baht.
  • From Hat Yai Airport: from 800 baht.
  • From Langkawi (Malaysia): about 160 Malaysian ringgit (~1300 baht) one way.

Tips for buying tickets:

  • It's better to buy tickets online in advance on trusted sites such as Trip.com or 12go.asia. At port ticket offices, it may be more expensive, and seats may be sold out.
  • Upon arrival at Ko Lipe, all tourists are required to pay entrance to Tarutao National Park — 200 baht in cash.

Transport on the island itself:

  • Mototaxi (tuk-tuk): 50 baht per person for any trip around the island. Luggage — +150 baht.
  • Boat taxi between beaches: 50–150 baht per person.
  • The island is small, so main points can be reached on foot in 10-15 minutes, saving on transport.
