Getting from Pattaya to Bangkok by bus is the most popular, reliable and budget-friendly way. Travel time is approximately 2–2.5 hours, and ticket prices start from 148 baht. The main thing is not to confuse the departure station, as different buses go to different points in Bangkok or to the airport.

Here are the main options for taking a bus from Pattaya to Bangkok in 2026:

  • From North Pattaya Bus Station — this is the main bus station. From here, direct buses run every 30–60 minutes to Ekkamai Eastern Terminal for 148 baht and to Mo Chit Northern Terminal for 158 baht. The schedule is frequent: from 05:00 to 23:00 to Ekkamai and from 05:00 to 18:00 to Mo Chit. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office on site or in advance online at 12go.asia.
  • From Roong Reuang Coach Jomtien station — convenient if you live in the Jomtien or Pratamnak area. From here, bus No. 389 goes only to Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) for 162 baht. You cannot get directly to central Bangkok, but from the airport you can take the Airport Rail Link metro (45 baht) to Phaya Thai or Makkasan stations.
  • From T-Tour bus station — located at the entrance to Walking Street. Minibuses depart when full to Ekkamai or Khao San Road, ticket from 200 baht. This option is not suitable if you need a strict schedule.

If you need to go to Don Mueang Airport (DMK), there is no direct bus. The best option: take a bus to Mo Chit (158 baht), and from there take a taxi (about 500 baht) or a free shuttle if you have a plane ticket.

Minivans from Pattaya hotels are an alternative, but less reliable. Tickets are sold at street travel agencies from 350 baht, and they take you to Khao San Road or Mo Chit. However, be prepared that drivers may make many stops, pick up other passengers, and deliver parcels, which increases travel time to 3–4 hours.
