How to get from Bangkok airport to Kanchanaburi?

There is no direct public transport from Bangkok airports to Kanchanaburi. You can only get there with a transfer in the city or by taxi/transfer.
From Suvarnabhumi (BKK) or Don Mueang (DMK) airports, you first need to get to one of Bangkok's bus stations (Mor Chit or Sai Tai Mai) or to Thonburi railway station, and from there take a bus or train to Kanchanaburi. This will take additional time and effort, especially with luggage.
The most convenient, but also more expensive option is to book a direct transfer or taxi from the airport. The car journey takes about 2 hours and will cost from 2000 baht. You can book a transfer online in advance, then the driver will meet you in the arrivals hall with a sign.
If traveling in a group, booking a transfer for the whole car can be even more cost-effective than buying several bus tickets with transfers. Payment is made online for the car, not per person.
