Answer (changed )

Today, Ta Van village is more of a popular tourist hub with elements of ethnic life than an authentic remote village. The answer is ambiguous and depends on your expectations.

Arguments for it being an 'attraction':
The village is 'packed with tourists,' especially Asian ones, who arrive on large buses. There is developed infrastructure: a market, cafes, bars, a travel agency, a spa, a supermarket with card payment. The center more resembles a tourist settlement.

Arguments for ethnic authenticity here:
The Dzay ethnic group originally lives here. If you move away from the central market to the outskirts or into the rice fields, you will see real village life, locals at work, traditional houses. The village remains a living settlement, simply adapted to the flow of tourists.

Conclusion: If you are looking for seclusion and full immersion in culture without traces of tourism, perhaps less promoted villages in the valley will suit you better. But if convenience is important to you (a place to stay, food, the ability to buy water or book a transfer) after a long trek, and you are willing to walk 10-15 minutes from the center for authentic shots, then Ta Van is an excellent and logical choice, especially as a final point of trekking.
