Yes, it is, especially if you are planning trekking in the Muong Hoa Valley. Ta Van village is the largest and most developed village in the valley, serving as a popular finishing point for two-day trekking routes from Sapa. It has all the necessary infrastructure for tourists: a market, cafes, bars, homestays, travel agencies, and even a supermarket that accepts card payments.
Although due to the abundance of tourists, especially Asian ones, it no longer gives the feeling of an authentic ethnic village, it has its advantages. It is an ideal place to stay overnight during trekking and an excellent starting point for walks in the surrounding area. Just move away from the center to the outskirts—and you will see real village life, rice terraces, and picturesque landscapes.
If you are looking for solitude and full immersion in the ethnic atmosphere, you might consider other, less touristy villages. But for convenience, comfortable rest after a long journey, and the ability to easily organize further travel, Ta Van is an excellent choice.
