My Khe Beach is the main city beach of Da Nang, stretching almost 6 kilometers along the central part of the city. It is sandy, very wide and clean, with a gentle entrance to the water, which is good for children.
The infrastructure here is the most developed compared to other beaches in Da Nang. On the shore, you can rent sun loungers and umbrellas, there are toilets, showers (often free when ordering at cafes), and drink stands. Along the beach runs a beautiful pedestrian promenadeβthe longest in Vietnam. Directly on the beach, trading is prohibited, so no one bothers you.
Current prices for services (in dong):
- Plastic sun lounger - 40,000 dong
- Fabric sun lounger β 30,000 dong
- Fresh coconut β 30,000 dong
- Water 1.5L β 12,000 dong
- Beer 0.33L - from 25,000 dong
During the peak season (March-August), entertainment is available: jet skis (650,000 dong for 15 min), parasailing (650,000 dong), banana boat rides (1,000,000 dong for 5 people), as well as board rentals and surfing lessons.
Is it worth going? Definitely yes, especially if you are in Da Nang for the first time, traveling with family, or love comfort. It is one of the best city beaches in Vietnam. However, it is important to consider the season: from September to December, there are often large waves, murky water, and dangerous rip currents. During this period, swimming is only allowed in fenced areas under lifeguard supervision.
