An Bang Beach is the most developed and lively beach in Hoi An with a full set of tourist infrastructure. Everything is here for a comfortable rest: sun loungers, umbrellas, dozens of cafes and restaurants, as well as entertainment. However, you will have to pay for the amenities, including parking.
Prices and infrastructure at An Bang Beach:
- Sun lounger and umbrella rental: From 50,000 dong per set.
- Free sunbeds: Often included with food and drink orders at beach cafes. A main dish in such establishments costs from 130,000 dong.
- Food and drinks: Wide selection: from simple Vietnamese snacks to seafood and European cuisine. Prices are higher than in the city, but reasonable.
- Entertainment: In season, they offer banana boat rides, jet ski rentals.
Parking at An Bang:
This is one of the main nuances. In the central part of the beach (where Hai Ba Trung Street meets the sea) parking is paid everywhere:
- Motorcycle/bike: 20,000 dong (considered expensive by local standards).
- Car: From 40,000 dong.
- Bicycle: 10,000 dong for storage.
Lifehack: If you walk a few hundred meters to the left or right from the central entrance (Hai Ba Trung), the crowds will thin out. There you can find cheaper local cafes and sometimesβfree access to the shore where you can leave your vehicle for free. These areas are especially popular with locals in the evenings.
Also be prepared that many hotels on the first line restrict free access to the water. You will have to look for publicly accessible passages between their territories.
