Entry to the pedestrian street Vo Thi Sau (Walking Street) itself and sitting in most open bars is completely free. You only pay for what you order. Prices here are very affordable, especially for local beer.
Here are approximate drink prices:
- Local draft beer (Bia Hoi): from 20,000 dong per mug.
- Cocktails: from 50,000 to 80,000 dong.
The situation changes if you decide to enter one of the closed nightclubs with security at the entrance. There, as a rule, entry is paid, and often it is organized on a "combo" system. For example, for a fixed amount (say, 999,000 dong) they may offer you a table and a set of drinks: several bottles of beer, water, and some snack like a plate of fruit.
Tip: We recommend having Vietnamese dong cash with you. Although some establishments may accept cards, cash is the most reliable and fast way to pay in such places.
