Visiting the Big Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Yai) in Pattaya is completely free. There is no entrance fee, and this is one of the main reasons to come here. However, as in many temples in Thailand, donations are welcome. Usually, visitors leave 20β50 baht in special boxes β this is considered good manners and helps maintain the temple.
As for opening hours, the temple is open daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. This is very convenient: you can come in the morning to avoid the heat and crowds, or in the evening when the heat subsides and the statue is illuminated. Keep in mind that this is an active temple, so even in the evening, you must observe silence and dress code rules.
