The only possibility is unofficial exchange at a very unfavorable rate from other tourists, rare street money changers, or hotel guides. However, this method is extremely unreliable and involves a high risk of fraud.

Our recommendation: bring US dollars or euros to Egypt. These currencies are accepted everywhere, and it is easy and advantageous to exchange them for pounds at ATMs, exchange offices, or banks. If you only have rubles, it is best to exchange them for dollars before the trip, in Russia.
