Getting from Moalboal to Kawasan Falls on your own is very simple and cheap. This is the most convenient route. Here is a step-by-step guide:

  1. To the main road: From the beaches of Moalboal, take a tricycle to the main street in the village where the highway passes. The ride costs about 50 pesos.
  2. By bus: On this highway, take any intercity bus heading south towards the city of Bato. Buses run very frequently, every 20 minutes. Tell the conductor or driver "Kawasan Falls," and they will tell you where to get off. The ride takes about 20 minutes, and the fare is from 15 pesos.
  3. Get off at the church: Your stop is the village of Badian near Matutinao Church. This is a well-known landmark; the driver will alert you.
  4. Walk to the waterfall: From the church to the ticket booth and the first waterfall, walk along the trail by the river for about 1.5 kilometers (20-25 minutes). The path is clear and well-marked; no guide is needed. At the turn near the church, there is parking for those who came by their own transport.

An alternative option is to take a tour in Moalboal that includes transfer and often canyoning (from 1500 pesos). But traveling on your own gives more freedom and is significantly cheaper.
