The most convenient way to get from Manila to Boracay is by plane. You need to buy a ticket for a domestic flight from Manila to Caticlan Airport (MPH) or, as an alternative, to Kalibo Airport (KLO). From these airports, you will reach the island by boat.

The fastest and most convenient route: Manila → Caticlan → boat to Boracay.

  • Flight: Flights from Manila to Caticlan are operated by Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines, and AirAsia. Travel time is about 1 hour.
  • Ticket price: With early booking, a one-way ticket can be found from 2500 pesos (about $50). Prices increase significantly closer to the departure date.
  • After arrival: Caticlan Airport is a 5-minute drive from the pier. From there, you can reach Boracay by pump boats for 50 pesos in 5-7 minutes.

Alternative route: Manila → Kalibo → transfer → boat to Boracay.

  • Flight: Flights to Kalibo are also operated by several airlines. This is an international airport, sometimes with charter flights available.
  • Further journey: From Kalibo Airport to the pier in Caticlan is about 70 km (2 hours travel). From there, you can take a ready-made transfer from 400 pesos or go by bus.

It's important to remember the mandatory fees when entering Boracay: 300 pesos environmental fee and 150 pesos port fee, which are paid at Caticlan Port.

If you don't want to combine flights and transfers yourself, consider the option of a ready-made tour, which includes flight and transfer to the hotel. You can compare prices from different tour operators on trusted websites, for example, Level.Travel or Travelata.
