• What is accessible on an automatic: You can freely reach Linh Ung Pagoda, the private Dong Dinh Museum, beaches (Obama Beach), Son Tra Marina restaurant, and ride along the lower coastal roads with beautiful views.
• Problem with climbing to the top: On the road leading up, there is a barrier and a sign prohibiting passage for motorcycles with automatic transmissions. Theoretically, a guard is on duty there who should enforce this prohibition. According to reviews, sometimes they pass, sometimes not. In our case, the guard allowed passage but strongly advised against it due to the steep climb.
• Recommendation: If you plan to fully explore the peninsula, including the summit, it's better to immediately rent a motorcycle with a manual or semi-automatic transmission ("semi-automatic"). Its rental is often even cheaper than an automatic (from 100,000 dong).
