On the Son Tra Peninsula (Nui Son Tra), also known as Monkey Mountain, there are several interesting locations. It's not a single spot, but a whole set of places to visit. Here's what you can see:

  • Viewpoints on the mountain: The former helicopter pad, the area near the telecommunications antenna, and the Ban Co Peak summit. From here, breathtaking views of Da Nang Bay and Hai Van Pass open up.
  • Linh Ung Pagoda: Here stands a giant 67-meter white statue of the goddess of mercy Guanyin, standing in a lotus flower. This is one of the iconic landmarks of Da Nang.
  • Beaches: There are several cozy beaches on the peninsula, such as Bai Da or Obama Beach, where you can relax.
  • A lighthouse, an unusual arch tree, and the private Dong Dinh Museum.
  • The Son Tra Marina themed restaurant in Mediterranean style.
  • Wildlife: Along the roads of the peninsula, you can encounter monkeys, squirrels, and theoretically even rare langurs and pheasants.

The best way to see everything is to rent a motorbike and ride along the scenic roads that encircle the peninsula.
