Can you smoke electronic cigarettes in Vietnam?

Since January 1, 2025, a ban has been introduced on the production, sale, transportation, use and advertising of all types of electronic cigarettes. The ban is new and it is not yet clear how strictly it will be enforced and whether smoking electronic cigarettes in public places will actually be prohibited, but all local media report that it has been introduced and is already in effect.
