Next to theGreen Mosque in the kullie Yesil complex (Yeşil Külliyesi) is the green mausoleum Yeşil Türbe or Green Tomb, where Sultan Mehmet Celebi, who ruled the Ottoman Empire in 1413-1421, is buried. Some of his children are also buried here. This place is very beautiful, is an architectural monument. However, despite the name, in fact, the mausoleum is not green, but blue, or rather even turquoise.
Inside the mausoleum is always quiet and calm, it is not customary to make noise. Although there are no strict requirements for clothing at the entrance to the mausoleum as a mosque, it is still not recommended to come here in miniskirts and shorts, and before entering it is necessary to take off your shoes. Inside, the floor is covered with a soft thick carpet, on which, if desired, you can even relax a little.
