Green Mosque (Yesil Camii) built between 1412 and 1419 by Sultan Mehmet I. It is considered one of the most ornate in Bursa: the facade is decorated with white marble, and inside is decorated with blue and green tiles. But do not be surprised at what you will see in the mosque or in our photos, in fact, there is very little green in the interior, just such a "popular" name was fixed for the mosque. Yesil Camii is part of the traditional Turkish complex of social and cultural life kullie Yesil (Yeşil Külliyesi), consisting of a mosque, madrasa, Hamam, almshouse and other buildings. For tourists in this tour it will also be interesting to visit Yeşil Türbe green mausoleum.
The mosque is open around the clock, but tourists can visit it only during the period when namaz (prayer) does not pass, which happens five times a day. Namaz does not last long, so even if you come at this time, you should wait a little. Theoretically, anyone, even non-Muslims, can join the prayer, but at this time it is strictly forbidden to wander around the mosque and take photos. When visiting, you need to take off your shoes, women should cover their heads with a handkerchief. You can not enter in flashy and revealing clothes, mini-skirts, shorts, tops.
