Yes, in theory it is possible, but it's not recommended. Here's why:

From the Oriental Village tourist area and the Seven Wells parking lot, a trail-staircase leads up to the bridge, marked on maps like Organic maps, Maps.me, and similar. We haven't personally tested this climb, but we looked for and saw the start of the trail. However, access to it is marked with signs saying 'Private Property' and 'No Entry', but it definitely exists. You'll have to climb nearly 700 meters, which is significant, and it will take at least a couple of hours with an unpredictable outcome. When you reach the top, you'll be at the middle station of the cable car, where you can only access the bridge for a fee. Currently, it's 50 ringgit for foreigners, with the ticket office near the entrance.

But overall, we strongly advise against doing this, as it would be a violation, and we don't know what consequences might arise from it. Instead, if you really want to hike in the mountains, go to the 701-meter peak; we've detailed the ascent in a separate guide article – about Machinchang Peak on Langkawi.
