Can you walk to the SkyBridge suspension bridge on Langkawi?

Yes, theoretically it is possible. There are paths and trails for this, although in practice we have not tested such a route. On maps like Organic maps, Maps.me, and others, trails are marked that lead from below directly to the northern side of the sky bridge. And we saw this trail when visiting the bridge, although the entrance to it is blocked by a gate, which, however, is easy to bypass. This way you will reach the side of the bridge where there is a dead end, and after crossing the bridge and further along the Nature Trail, you will end up at the upper cable car station. But here is an important point: walking on the Nature Trail is paid, costing 6 ringgit, but payment is made from the other side, so in theory you would be a violator, although there is no control at the exit. Moreover, you can even go down by cable car, since ticket control for the descent is not carried out, but this is again a violation.
Finally, there is another option: walk along the trail to the middle cable car station (where the eagle glass bridge is), and from there you can take the cable car to the upper station (there is no ticket control), pay for access to the sky bridge (there are ticket counters there), and calmly walk on the bridge. But here again you would be a 'stowaway' on the cable car.
We do not recommend both options, as they are labor-intensive and will be a violation. Instead, if you really want to hike in the mountains, go to the 701-meter peak; we described the ascent to it in a separate article-instruction about Machichang Peak Langkawi.
