• For the parent: a valid internal or foreign passport of the Russian Federation.
• For the child:
  • If the child is under 14 years old: a foreign passport. From January 19, 2026, entry with a birth certificate is not possible. An alternative is if the child is included in the parent's old-style foreign passport (5-year validity) with a photo and FMS marks.
  • If the child is 14 years old or older: you can use an internal passport of the Russian Federation.
• The child's birth certificate (it is advisable to take it with you). It may be requested at the border to confirm kinship.
• A notarized power of attorney (consent) for the child's departure is required ONLY if the child is traveling without both parents (e.g., with grandparents or as part of a group). If the child is traveling with at least one parent, consent from the other is not needed.
