What is Siam Sato in Thailand?

Siam Sato is a popular low-alcohol beverage in Thailand, often referred to as rice wine. In fact, it cannot be definitively categorized as either wine or beer. It is a rice-based drink with an alcohol content of about 6.5%, comparable to strong beer.
In taste, Siam Sato is slightly sweet, somewhat reminiscent of champagne, and drinks very easily, especially when chilled. It's worth trying at least once due to its unique flavor and low price.
Cost: only from 36 baht for a large 0.62-liter bottle. It is usually sold in supermarkets in refrigerators next to beer.
A downside noted by many is that the drink is not carbonated. But for its price, it's an excellent option for getting acquainted with local alcoholic exoticism.
