How much time is needed to visit the National Museum of History in Hanoi?

For a full tour of both museum buildings, we recommend allocating at least 2 hours. If you are interested in history in detail, more time may be required.

The museum consists of two buildings, located within a 5-minute walk from each other:

• Main building - the main historical exhibition from antiquity to modern times
• Additional building - the former museum of revolution with a focus on modern history

Both buildings operate on the same schedule and are visited with a single ticket. Note that from 12:00 to 13:30 is a lunch break when visitors are asked to leave, but you can return later with the same tickets.

For a comfortable visit, it is better to plan your visit in the morning to have time to see both buildings before lunch, or split the tour into two parts - before and after the break.
