Yes, it is definitely worth visiting if you have even a slight interest in Vietnamese history. This is one of the most comprehensive museums in the country with an exhibition covering more than a thousand years of history - from the Paleolithic era to modern times.

The museum consists of two buildings, which are visited with one ticket:

  • Main building - here relics from the Paleolithic and Neolithic periods, exhibits from the times of great empires are presented
  • Additional building (former Museum of the Revolution) - more than 40 thousand exhibits about the modern history of Vietnam from the second half of the 19th century
