Card PIN not accepted in Vietnam, what to do?

The issue is that in Vietnam, PIN codes are 6 digits long. Therefore, to accept a standard 4-digit PIN code, you need to enter the four digits of your PIN and add two zeros. For example, for a PIN code "1234", you should enter "123400". Sometimes, some payment terminals and ATMs accept standard four digits, but this is more of an exception. So remember this simple algorithm, and you won't have any problems.
But if the card still doesn't work after this, there may be other issues. For example, your card is not supported (the bank is under sanctions), or you simply need to use a different terminal at the checkout or find another ATM.
