In the Bangkok metro, several types of tickets are available, suitable for different traveler needs. Single tickets are ideal for short trips: on BTS, it's a card, on MRT—a token. They are valid only on the day of purchase and must be kept until exit.

One-day passes allow unlimited travel throughout the day: on BTS for 150 baht, on MRT for 120 baht. It's important that they are valid until midnight, not 24 hours from the time of purchase.

For frequent trips, stored value cards are suitable, such as the Rabbit Card for BTS. The card is purchased for 100 baht and can be topped up with any amount. When paying with it, a slightly lower amount is deducted than with a single ticket (e.g., 15 baht instead of 16).

MRT also has multi-day passes: a 15-day pass for 600 baht and a 30-day pass for 1400 baht. These are suitable for those staying in the city for a long time.

All tickets are purchased from machines or ticket counters at stations. Single tickets for children are sold only at counters. When using passes or cards, they must be tapped at the turnstile upon entry and exit.
