In the Marble Temple of Bangkok, there are many interesting objects and architectural elements worth seeing. The main feature is the temple complex itself, built from Italian marble, making it unique among other temples in Thailand.

In the main ubosot (enlightenment hall) there is a golden statue of Buddha - a copy of the famous Phra Buddha Chinnarat statue from Wat Mahathat in Phitsanulok. This statue was cast in 1920, and beneath it rest the remains of King Rama V, the founder of the temple. Entry to the hall is permitted, but appropriate clothing is required - bare shoulders, shorts, and short skirts are prohibited.

In the surrounding gallery a unique collection of 52 Buddha statues is displayed, each depicting various mudras (symbolic gestures). These statues were collected by Prince Damrong Rajanubhab specifically for the king. The collection holds immense cultural and religious value.

On the temple grounds, there are also:

  • A throne hall for royal ceremonies
  • A sacred tree - an important religious symbol
  • Picturesque canals with bridges and fountains
  • A spacious green area for walking and meditation

The temple's architecture combines traditional Thai elements with European influences, making it particularly interesting for art and history enthusiasts. Don't forget to pay attention to the marble detailing and the symmetrical layout of the complex.
