In Bali, gasoline is labeled not by octane number, but by brand names. Here are the main types and prices at network gas stations (minimum):

  • Pertalite (analog of AI-90): 10,000 rupiah/liter (~50.57 rub.)
  • Pertamax (analog of AI-92-95): 12,500 rupiah/liter (~63.11 rub.)
  • Pertamax Turbo (improved analog of AI-95-98): 14,000 rupiah/liter (~70.79 rub.)

Prices in rubles are given at the time of writing the answer and may change, check via currency calculator or through the link below.

It's better to refuel at large gas stations, such as Pertamina or Shell. At Pertamina, payment is cash only, at some Shell, payment by card or via QR code is possible (but there may be issues with Russian cards).

For motorbikes, Pertamax is usually recommended, but in practice, cheaper Pertalite is often used. When renting, check with the rental company which gasoline is preferable for your vehicle. Note that in the south of the island, there are often long queues of motorbikes for Pertalite.
